Letter from CEO & Board Chair

Dear Neighbors and Peers, Co-workers and Families,

As we reflect on the past year, the quote, “If you focus on change, you will see results,” seems especially relevant. Without a doubt, these are changing times, and our 14,500 associates are playing an instrumental role in living the tenets of the 2020 Strategic Plan that we introduced last year. The footprint of our organization is expanding, and our commitment to transforming the way health care is delivered in every corner of the state is becoming a reality.

As Colorado’s largest and only true statewide health network, our expanded, coordinated health care approach means we’re closer than you think and ready to deliver the right care, at the right time, in the right place. When you consider the growing health care needs of Coloradans, and the large population that lives with limited access to medical care, it’s never been more important to deliver positive impacts in every community we touch. Close-to-home care is especially critical for our rural neighbors and the guiding force behind Centura Health’s efforts over the past 30 years to partner with local physicians and hospitals in small towns across the state.

In our 2010 Annual Report and Community Impact Report, you will find a progress summary on the implementation of our 2020 Plan and the three core tenets upon which it is based: Creating Systems of Care, Moving Upstream to Manage Health and Strengthening the Foundation. The report details our unparalleled integrated Systems of Care approach in the prevention and treatment of trauma, stroke, cardiac and vascular disease by sharing best practices, maximizing efficiencies and streamlining communications across our network, from Denver to Durango. The Centura Health at School program is beginning to introduce health and wellness strategies into our schools to promote and preserve good health for residents and families at all stages of life. With our focus on the future of technology, Centura Health continues to lead local efforts to incorporate new technologies in treatment, records management and patient safety that result in greater patient outcomes at every turn.

Through education, preventive care and safety initiatives, health advocacy, counseling and support groups, our associates, our 6,000 affiliated statewide physicians, and the facilities, entities and foundations that form the Centura Health family are passionate about our mission to provide advanced, affordable, quality care now and well into the future.

Ultimately, we’re working to be your health care partner for life. That means that Centura Health is here, nurturing the health of every Colorado community, providing you with all the tools and resources you need to maintain a lifetime of good health. We want to share this journey with you and hope to hear from you via our websites, Facebook, Twitter, phone or email.

All the best health for you,

Gary Campbell
